As a district, we want to show our support for the people of Paradise, CA who have suffered so much during the recent fire storm.  After some research, we recommend these resources for you to donate directly to their health and wellbeing.
1.       North Valley Community Foundation  www.nvcf.  The is a button for Camp Fire donations and additional information on their main page. Distributions from the Camp Fire Relief Fund donation here will be used for: For short-term immediate financial needs, the North Valley Community Foundation has formed an internal committee of board members and service providers that consider requests and approve grants on a daily basis. However, our more important role will be to work with community leaders to determine needs and best uses of funds once the fire is out and attention turns to recovery efforts. That phase will be evolving over the next few months and will include collaboration with key funders, local and regional agencies, and direct service providers.

2. Sierra Nevada Campfire Foundation.  They have kept their doors open and are feeding, free, all firemen, and first responders. The owner set up the Foundation and he has donated $100,000 of his own money to the Foundation.  I will be donating to that Foundation.  They have ALWAYS been community minded.  They are progressive.  They are 100% solar.  These are amazing people.

3. The Paradise Rotary Club will be accepting donations to be used to assist people in the short and long term via the “The Paradise Rotary Foundation”. They should be mailed c/o Scheer Memorial Chapel, 2410 Foothill Blvd, Oroville, CA 95966.
