District Administration
Rotary District 5080 was chartered by Rotary International on January 1, 2007 and incorporated in the State of Idaho on May 25, 2007. The District serves the Rotary, Rotaract, and Rotary Youth Services groups in Southeastern British Columbia, Eastern Washington, and Northwestern Idaho.
The District is one of many Rotary Districts in Rotary Zones 26/27, also known as Big West Rotary.
Structure and Governance
- Governor Line
The Governor Line is the Executive Committee of District 5080 and consists of the- District Governor,
- District Governor Elect,
- District Governor Nominee,
- District Governor Designate, and
- Immediate Past District Governor
- Leadership and District Council Committees
There are several Committees that make up the Leadership and District 5080 Council. These Committees are defined in the District Policy Manual and are empowered to create Subcommittees, Task Forces, and Action Teams to conduct the work of the Committee and District.
- District Charitable Fund Board
The Charitable Fund Board was created to support the local and worldwide charitable activities of the Rotary District 5080 and its participating local Rotary Clubs, as well as provide funding for community projects, scholarships, and other charitable projects.
Within the United States, the Rotary District 5080 Charitable Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 2016, and donations are tax-deductible.
The Charitable Fund has been reviewed and rated by Charity Navigator.
